The kennels are made from 25mm x 25mm steel box section with either 50mm x 50mm mesh infill, or a 10mm solid bar to the run part of the kennel This is then hot dip galvanised to BS 729. The rear housing part of the kennel is then covered with a plastic, the roof is covered with a plastic coated steel profile sheet with anti-condensation backing.
The Chatsworth kennels have been designed to prevent chewing. all corners and edges have been covered or backed in steel.
The use of plastic sheeting in the housing area is a major advantage over traditional timber, because the plastic does not rot or absorb smells and will not harbour any disease or infections.
The kennel box has a lift up lid to make cleaning easier, the floor in the box is again made of plastic and is mounted approximately 50mm above the ground to prevent cold striking upwards.
The whole kennel unit is mounted on adjustable feet to allow for a slope to be put on the base.
